Hi, I’m Hudson, my passion is working with children. I received my bachelors at Centre College and masters degree at East Tennessee State University in 2020. My passion as a counselor and through my work experience has focused on addressing childhood trauma and stress related concerns in younger children. My values lean heavily towards autonomy, open expression, and emotional flexibility and these extend into my work with children.
My clinical approach relies most heavily on Child Centered Play Therapy, an evidence based therapy approach that leans on the core strengths and creativity of children to help them navigate the challenges they find themselves in. I work closely with parents to monitor goals and support strategies at home.
I also integrate my specialized training in Autplay as well as TF-CBT to adapt therapy to the needs and abilities of all children. When I’m not at work, you’ll most likely find me working on a quilt, struggling to fold new origami animal, or chasing my golden, Ziggy, around outside.
